FedEx St. Jude Championship announces Military Ticket Program in partnership with U.S. Steel’s Big River Steel

Complimentary admission available for active, retired, reserved military and veterans

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – As the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship returns to Memphis for the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs, tournament officials announced the Military Ticket Program in partnership with U.S. Steel’s Big River Steel, which will offer active, retired, reserved military members and veterans the opportunity to reserve two (2) complimentary grounds tickets per day to watch the PGA TOUR’s top 70 players compete at TPC Southwind.

Golf’s postseason begins at the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship from Aug. 9-13, which invites the top 70 players in the FedExCup Playoffs and Eligibility Points List at the conclusion of the regular season with only 50 players advancing to the following week’s BMW Championship. This is the second year TPC Southwind plays host to the four-day, no-cut opening Playoffs event.

“It’s been a long-time priority of the FedEx St. Jude Championship to provide access and experiences for our military guests who join us during championship week at TPC Southwind,” said Joe Tomek, executive director of the FedEx St. Jude Championship. “We’re thankful for our partnership with Big River Steel in helping us properly acknowledge and honor this special group of men and women.”

While onsite at TPC Southwind, all military members plus one accompanied guest will have access to the Patriots’ Outpost, an open-air venue with shaded seating and complimentary soft drinks located on the par-3 eighth hole. Military members and their one accompanied guest will be permitted entry into the venue upon showing valid military ID.

The Military Ticket Program, in partnership with U.S. Steel’s Big River Steel, will offer active, retired, reserved military members and veterans the opportunity to reserve two (2) complimentary grounds tickets per day to watch the PGA TOUR’s top 70 players compete at TPC Southwind.
