Rory McIlroy Returns to Memphis for FedEx St. Jude Championship

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The FedEx St. Jude Championship announced today that Rory McIlroy has committed to compete in the 2026 field at TPC Southwind as he begins his pursuit of a record fourth FedExCup title.

McIlroy arrives in Memphis as the No. 2 player in the Official World Golf Ranking and one of the most accomplished players in PGA TOUR history. The Northern Irishman has amassed 30 PGA TOUR victories during his career and stands alone as the only three-time FedExCup Champion, capturing the season-long title in 2016, 2019 and 2022.

McIlroy joins a field comprised of the top performers in the FedExCup standings following the PGA TOUR's regular season. The field for the FedEx St. Jude Championship is made up of the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings at the conclusion of this week’s Wyndham Championship. The FedEx St. Jude Championship serves as the first of three FedExCup Playoffs events, with only the top 50 players advancing to the BMW Championship and the top 30 earning a spot in the season-finale TOUR Championship.
